Showcase Florian Graf

Exhibition at Boutique Hotel Helvetia, Stauffacherquai 1-3, Zurich
The artist Florian Graf is known for his conceptual as well as poetic and playful work. His art explores the relationship between the sensually perceiving body, architecture and society at large. Florian Graf creates sculptures, drawings and photographs which inspire thoughtful dialogue and exchange. The art critic Michael Newman aptly writes: “Graf’s art is utopian not by projecting a future that is different from the present, but by making the present different from itself.”
Florian Graf was born in Basel and studied at the Edinburgh College of Art and at ETH Zürich. He received a scholarship from King Charles III. in London and was a Fulbright Fellow at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Since then his work was exhibited internationally in galleries and in public space and was awarded the DAAD-Scholarship, the Prix Visarte or the Swiss Art Award.
